To start your day on a high, head to Vela for a breakfast with an international buffet of tantalising flavours. Lunch at Vela is also offered and feature succulent imported meats and fresh local seafood. For a bit of excitement while you eat, the resort’s Teppanyaki restaurant showcases boundless creativity and inspiring flavours.

For the ultimate romantic setting, dine directly on the powder-white sand and enjoy the continental cuisines and live hot stone grill cooking stations. If you’d prefer the fine dining experience, Etesian offers culinary perfection and a unique blend of Mediterranean dishes in an elegant and modern setting. Relax under the palm trees at Turquoise and enjoy bites of fresh local fruit and juices, while stretching out on the water’s edge.

What to do at the Velassaru Resort

The Spa

Experience rejuvenation from the overwater treatment pavilions designed to revitalise and soothe you while you enjoy uninterrupted views of the Maldives. The Velassaru Spa includes treatment rooms, relaxation rooms, a manicure and pedicure room, hydropool, steam room, and boutique. Guests can also take part in yoga, designed to give you strength, relaxation, and flexibility.

Marine Biology and Fishing

If you’re interested in marine biology, you can choose from a number of daily activities that allow you to get up close and personal with the marine life. These include night fishing, a snorkelling trip, and dolphin discovery. Also on offer are a Bio Quest and Bio Photo Adventure, led by the resort’s resident marine biologist. Daily Activities

It simply wouldn’t be right to travel to the Maldives and not explore the underwater life and coral reefs with vibrant colours. Velassaru Resort caters to both novice and seasoned divers, with PADI courses, multilingual instructors, diving for kids, digital underwater photographer, and all equipment included. When to go and how to get there

Although the temperature remains consistent throughout the year, the best time to visit Velassaru is between November and April. From Malé airport, Velassaru Island is just a 25 minute speedboat ride away over crystal clear waters.
